FAQs

Orca is built by Private Markets professionals for Private Markets. It’s a lead generation and engagement tool designed to empower GPs. Verified LPs proactively contact you, saving you time and improving your fundraising efficiency.

Orca ensures that your fundraising efforts are fully compliant with marketing regulations such as EU MiFID. Our platform supports reverse solicitation requirements and automatically logs these interactions, ensuring that your fundraising efforts remain compliant.

General Partners have full control over what data is shared on Orca. The information provided is entirely at the discretion of the GP, and is only accessible to verified institutional LPs. The information typically includes what a GP would commonly present in their pitchbook. GPs can decide how much or how little information to include in their profile, ensuring that it aligns with their fundraising strategy and preferences.

Orca securely stores all data on the Google Cloud platform, adhering to industry standards for data protection and privacy. We do not sell or distribute any of your information to third parties. Data is only accessible to verified institutional LPs within the platform, ensuring that sensitive information is handled in a compliant and secure manner.

Creating and editing a profile is quick, easy and intuitive – Orca is designed to minimise maintenance. Once you have created your profile, updating is mainly reduced to updating your track record in your profile on quarterly basis. You can register for Orca in three easy steps: Register here, Verify your email, and provide some information on your GP. We can now activate your profile.

To avoid bad actors seeing your information each LP is verified by us. We confirm: company registration number, name, URL, email address, physical address. The Platform only accepts professional investors as investor-users classifying as Professional Clients pursuant to Annex II of MIFID, Accredited Investors pursuant to Regulation D promulgated by the SEC pursuant to the US Securities Act of 1933 (as amended and/or supplemented) or Qualified Purchasers pursuant to Section 2(a)(51) of the US Investment Company Act of 1940 (as amended and/or supplemented).

GPs pay a subscription fee to be on Orca and to be in Fundraising mode. For more information on fees please contact us here.

Orca is free of charge for LPs.
